The year 2022 marks the third year of progress reporting. The third annual report shows that the performance of member institutions has maintained steady progress compared with last year, especially in governance and strategy, and disclosure and engagement. Signatory institutions are demonstrating their leadership in green finance:


  1. Governance and Strategy:

    • 55% of signatory institutions have set ambitious carbon neutrality goals with implementation plans.

    • 35% are significantly progressing towards greening their portfolios.

  2. Risk Assessment and Management:

    • Steady improvement, surpassing the "Building Capacity" level.

    • 80% have broadened risk assessment to include quantitative indicators and adhere to international and local standards.

    • Over half quantify financial exposure to climate risks, indicating room for further progress.

  3. Investment and Corporate Footprint:

    • Rapid growth in green investment and financing.

    • 90% regularly track green asset progress, with over half setting quantified targets for increasing green assets.

    • Nearly 75% consider restricting investments in carbon-intensive projects.

  4. Disclosure and Engagement:

    • Approximately 60% disclose climate-related risks, management policies, and procedures.

    • 55% have a communications strategy for stakeholder engagement, and 45% communicate throughout the lifecycle of BRI projects.
