Deep Condolences to Sir Roger Gifford

We are shocked and saddened to know that Sir Roger Gifford, Co-chair of the GIP Steering Committee, passed away at home on 25 May London time.

As a founding member of the GIP, Sir Roger has been playing a leading role to promote the development of green finance and address climate and environmental challenges in the Belt and Road. His sudden passing is great loss to us.

Dr Ma Jun, who is Co-chair of the GIP Steering Committee and Chairman of China Green Finance Committee, and Dominic Waughray who is Managing Director of the World Economic Forum and a member of the GIP Steering Committee, together with the rest of the Steering Committee members and the GIP Secretariat to pay tribute and deep condolences to Sir Roger.
